Recipe: Chicken Consommé à la Inde

Why to go "OUT" when you can become a CHEF yourself at home? I am a foodie and like experimenting with food whenever I am at home. Today, I created Chicken Consommé and why am I saying 'I created' is because its a French soup but I cooked it in Indian style. You can call it clear soup as well.

Simple to cook and just takes 20 minutes

★ All what you need for preparing the base of your chicken is 2 onions, lots of garlic (7-10 cloves)

★ Chop the onions & garlic well. Heat a tablespoon of cooking oil in a pan and sauté them on a high flame for a minute

★ Add salt and black pepper to taste. You may want to add green chillies if you like it hot. Add a fresh uncooked chicken weighing up to 600 - 700 g. Mix it well with the rest and add half teaspoon each of turmeric powder, red chilly powder, garam masala and coriander powder. Drop a couple of bay leaves as well.

★ Now, take a tomato, chop it and add it to the mix

★ Add 3 glasses of water, mix well. Remember its a soup so lot of water is required

★ Steam them in a pressure cooker for 1 whistle

Enjoy with bread (Garlic Naan or a plain Tandoori Roti) and salad. Bon Appétit!

Will come back with something more interesting. C' ya.
