Joke: A Smart-Mouthed Student

This is a true story!!!
A student got into trouble at school when his mathematics teacher was teaching and he fell asleep. When the teacher proceeded to ask him a question he snapped awake. The teacher took a ruler and pointed it at the boy while saying, "at the end of this ruler is an idiot". The student got into trouble because he replied back, "and which end might you be referring to?"

Child Labour is a Big Stigma

In developing countries, with high poverty and poor schooling opportunities, child labour is still prevalent. In 2010, sub-saharan Africa had the highest incidence rates of child labour, with several African nations witnessing over 50 percent of children aged 5–14 working. Worldwide agriculture is the largest employer of child labour. Vast majority of child labour is found in rural settings and informal urban economy; children are predominantly employed by their parents, rather than factories. Poverty and lack of schools are considered as the primary cause of child labour.

Child labour refers to the employment of children in any work that deprives children of their childhood, interferes with their ability to attend regular school, and that is mentally, physically, socially or morally dangerous and harmful.

Almost every country in the world has laws relating to and aimed at preventing child labour. International Labour Organisation has helped set international law, which most countries have signed on and ratified.
According to ILO minimum age convention (C138) of 1973, child labour refers to any work performed by children under the age of 12, non-light work done by children aged 12–14, and hazardous work done by children aged 15–17. Light work was defined, under this Convention, as any work that does not harm a child's health and development, and that does not interfere with his or her attendance at school. This convention has been ratified by 135 countries.

Recipe: Chicken Consommé à la Inde

Why to go "OUT" when you can become a CHEF yourself at home? I am a foodie and like experimenting with food whenever I am at home. Today, I created Chicken Consommé and why am I saying 'I created' is because its a French soup but I cooked it in Indian style. You can call it clear soup as well.

Simple to cook and just takes 20 minutes

★ All what you need for preparing the base of your chicken is 2 onions, lots of garlic (7-10 cloves)

★ Chop the onions & garlic well. Heat a tablespoon of cooking oil in a pan and sauté them on a high flame for a minute

★ Add salt and black pepper to taste. You may want to add green chillies if you like it hot. Add a fresh uncooked chicken weighing up to 600 - 700 g. Mix it well with the rest and add half teaspoon each of turmeric powder, red chilly powder, garam masala and coriander powder. Drop a couple of bay leaves as well.

★ Now, take a tomato, chop it and add it to the mix

★ Add 3 glasses of water, mix well. Remember its a soup so lot of water is required

★ Steam them in a pressure cooker for 1 whistle

Enjoy with bread (Garlic Naan or a plain Tandoori Roti) and salad. Bon Appétit!

Will come back with something more interesting. C' ya.
